One of our most popular designs the pencil dress is a super versatile wardrobe staple.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR FABRIC + PLACE YOUR ORDER:

1. Choose your fabric by heading to our instagram fabric gallery

Each fabric has a reference number & details of which of our designs + sizes it is suitable for. Comment on the instagram post or email us via info@theemperorsoldclothes.co.uk to reserve it – we generally only have enough of each fabric for 1-2 garments so this step is really important!

2. Place your order here – double-check you have the correct garment style.

Your fabric reservation lasts for 72 hours so please place your order during this time otherwise the fabric will become available to other customers.

Important: make sure to write your size, sleeve preference + fabric reference number in the order notes when you are entering your payment details.

3. Sit back, make a cup of tea + get excited about your one of a kind garment!

GARMENT DETAILS:

With a comfortable figure-hugging cut, this boat neck pencil dress finishes just above the knee. Handmade from scratch in your choice of fabric the dress fastens with a side zip fastening.

Our pencil dress is a modern, simple take on day dresses from the 1960s.

WAYS TO WEAR:

Wear the dress alone with your favourite shoes for outfit number 1.

For all year round wear style the dress with a high-neck top underneath and ankle boots to keep you warm in the colder months.

It would make for a perfect summer dress or vintage-inspired dress to wear to a wedding. Dress up with black clutch bag & heels or go for a relaxed feel with summer basket, sunglasses & sandals. When the temperature drops simply add tights, ankle boots and some cashmere.

Feel good fashion! This boat neck pencil dress will be created by our small team in our Brighton studio for a living wage. Every piece we make is totally unique and will not be reproduced.

UK 4-6 / EUR 32 / US 0-2 = length from waist 23″

UK 6-8 / EUR 34 / US 2-4 = length from waist 23″

UK 10-12 / EUR 36 / US 6-8 = length from waist 23″

UK 12-14 / EUR 38 / US 10-12 = length from waist 23″

UK 14-16 / EUR 40 / US 12-14 = length from waist 23.5″

UK 18-20 / EUR 44 / US 16-18 = length from waist 24.25″

UK 22-24 / EUR 50 / US 20-22 = length from waist 25″

UK 26-28 / EUR 56 / US 24-26 = length from waist 26″

PACKAGING

We ship using circular packaging with RePack which will automatically be added to your basket. Read our RePack FAQ page to find out more.

Design your own orders are non-returnable + non-refundable. If the fit isn’t quite right when your garment arrives, we work with you to get it just right!
