This fabric is a light/ medium taffeta. It is a versatile structured fabric which can be used to create lots of different garment types for a more formal garment
This fabric is a structured fabric with a light to medium weight drape that has structure and movement which holds the silhouettes of garment features nicely. It is often made from silk or mix fibres. It has a very smooth surface and hold its shape very well which gives its signature texture and sound when moving. It works well across all our designs holding an exaggerated shape but would work especially well with our fuller skirts and dress garments due to its structured nature – see “our recommendations” tab

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Some of our fabrics are more delicate than our machine wash fabrics, while we would put a dry clean label on a garment made from this fabric, careful washing of this fabric is most likely possible. This fabric could be machine washed with care. Please see the advise below on using you fabric sample and for ways that this fabric could possibly be cared for.
Dry clean or wash with great care
Use fabric sample sent with garment to test wash. Measure sample before and after wash. Take photo of sample to check difference in fabric before or after. Cut sample in half, measure both, compare after one has been through a wash cycle
Gentle machine wash
Use “delicate” wash cycle or “hand wash” cycle
Use a pillow case or garment bag to protect garment while in washing machine
Wash by hand
Wash at 30 or below

Design your own garments take approximately 6-9 weeks to create before they are shipped.
Design your own coats and silk chiffon garments take approximately 10-12 weeks to create before they are shipped.
Please note that any garments ordered during a flash sale take approximately 10-12 weeks to create before they are shipped.
If you would prefer to receive your order more quickly you can add a ‘Jump the queue’ surcharge to your order when you are on the checkout page and your garment will be created in 3-4 weeks then shipped to you.
Please note it is one Jump the queue surcharge per one garment so if you are ordering multiple garments you will need to add multiple ‘Jump the queue’ surcharges. ‘Jump the queue slots are subject to availability – if you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Please send your empty packaging back to us ( you will need to assign postage) so we can reuse it for future orders and keep our packaging circular for the whole Emperor’s community. If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Design your own orders are non-returnable + non-refundable. If the fit isn’t quite right when your garment arrives, we work with you to get it just right! Simply get in touch with us within 14 days of receiving your order to discuss your alteration For more information read our Returns Policy before placing your order.
Please send back your item(s) to us using your circular package using the return address label provided; you will need to add postage.
