'Relaxed fit' gives a looser silhouette with extra space in the waist whereas 'Regular fit' is more fitted to the body in the bodice

'Classic bodice length' means the waistline of the dress will sit along your natural waistline. 'Empire bodice length' means a shorter bodice length which sits higher than your natural waistline (please note: your waist measurement will need to be taken at this point on the torso for this dress order + the skirt length will begin from this height)

IMPORTANT: Please make sure you have checked if there is enough of your chosen fabrics for the different elements of your dress with our team before placing your order

Please note: sleeveless garments with attached shoulder ties will mean that the garment opens completely at the shoulder when untied. Garments with sleeves with attached shoulder ties will mean that the shoulder ties are purely decorative

Buttons + button-holes are functional not decorative

Small buttons are 15mm in diameter and large buttons are 23mm in diameter. You can provide your on buttons but they must match these dimensions of the button size you select and you will need to send them to us in the post as soon as you can after you have placed your order. Please note: all bandeau-style bodices will be lined in cotton as standard - you can upgrade to cupro below if preferred

Fine cotton lining works with most fabric types, cupro lining works well with drapey fabrics

If you would like to line the skirt too you can do so below - most skirts don’t need to be lined unless you are adding bound pockets or your fabric is very lightweight

Please note - if you add elastic to the waist of your garment you won't need a zip

Concealed zips are more hard-wearing - we recommend these for heavier fabrics + more fitted garments; invisible zips are lighter weight + a bit more delicate

'Full gather' is our classic skirt fit for this dress type. 'Minimal gather' is less gathered fabric along the waistline and less volume in the skirt
