Round up of this year’s Instagram outfit challenges so far

Each month this year we have set a styling theme over on Instagram @emperorscloth and invited you to get involved and show off your Emperor’s wardrobes. Here’s a round up of this year’s themes so far for 2024:

#EmperorsJoyfulJanuary

This one was designed to beat the January blues – we asked you to style your Emperor’s garments as joyfully as you could – whatever this meant to you

#EmperorsFrumpFreeFebruary

Alice + I had been discussing shedding the January feels + entering a new month with new energy through the power of wardrobes!

We challenged ourselves to style Emperor’s pieces that we may not have worn much yet or aren’t always our go-to pieces (did this mean I wouldn’t be wearing loungewear all month – no! But I tried to wear other items more than I have been + also experimented how I could ‘elevate’ my loungewear pieces)

#EmperorsMinOrMaxMarch

This one was Maxxie’s idea: spending March styling your Emperor’s pieces in a minimalist or maximalist way

We challenged ourselves to style Emperor’s pieces in ways we might not have thought of before whether that meant doubling down on the clashing prints + colour blocking etc or pairing things back to let your Emperor’s garments shine

Minimalist dressing is what I’ve usually gravitated more towards but I planned to yo-yo between the two this month + just see what happened 😅

#EmperorsSpringFling

Whilst the weather (here in the UK) was still a bit rubbish, there were more + more signs of Spring each day. We wanted to see how you lot styled your Emperor’s outfits to reflect the changing of the season!

#EmperorsMultiWayMay

This month’s prompt was a bit more of a challenge as we were inviting you to style your Emperor’s garments in multiple ways throughout the month of May: that could mean choosing one item + styling it a few different ways over the next few weeks or you could pick a few if you don’t want to limit yourself as much…

I had aimed to pick one item each week + wear it with different styling at least three times. I didn’t manage it every week but I had fun

#EmperorsJoyfulJune

It’s pretty simple – this month’s prompt was all about enjoying your Emperor’s outfits to the max! We were excited to see what that means to each of you as everyone’s styles are so wonderfully different

#EmperorsSummerStyling

The weather may not have been playing ball (here in the UK at least) but we enjoyed seeing how you styled your Emperor’s pieces for Summer

These challenges are a bit of fun and hopefully help you to flex your creative styling muscles! Follow us on @emperorscloth on Instagram to get involved.

We hope you’ll join us + continue to share your outfit pics using the hashtag in stories/on your grids + as ever don’t forget to tag us (send them to us via DM if your account is private) so we see them 🥰
