I have ordered quite a lot of Emperor garments by now and feel like I can convincingly say they are absolute perfection. Cecily and Alice are just the best, kindest and sweetest people on the planet who are so happy to help with any questions or customisations you want to make to your garment. Then the garments themselves. Gorgeous perfection dreams. I started wearing them straight away and did not want to take them off. In the 2 tiny instances that they weren’t perfect right away, they were altered for free and came back the perfect fit. I loved the whole process of seeing the garment on get cut and on the reel – it is so fun and so much more rewarding once you get your custom item. The amazing Emperor folks make lots of accommodations for all body types and always make sure you feel great in their clothes. I love all my Emperor pieces so so much and am so so happy I found them – I have several orders lined up as we speak so it’s safe to say I will probably be back for more very soon. 😉

Just received my first order from TEOC (pencil skirt) and it is the nicest thing I’ve ever owned. It fits me like an absolute glove, which I was a little anxious about as the never ending lockdowns have added to my measurements all over! But I needn’t have worried – the skirt fits beautifully and is so comfortable – it made me feel incredible, the first time I’ve really had that with clothes. I cannot thank TEOC enough – the customer service is out of this world, they’re such wonderful people and all the help I got in placing (and amending my order) makes me love them even more. If you only went on the calibre of the clothes you’ve found a great brand, but with the people it’s just the best. Have put a few more orders in (couldn’t resist) and cannot wait to see how these end up too. Thanks TEOC – finding you was one of the best things to come out of 2020!

I don’t know where to start. From the fabrics I choose, to the first trouser which fits ME.. and the marvellous swing skirt with proper pockets. It’s not the trouser I bought because its the only one available in my size and still ill-fitting. It’s fitted, it has pocket and I can’t wait to order the next item.

I can’t say enough good things! I now have three garments – one design your own dungarees, one design your own dungaree mini dress, and a two piece that I snagged in their ready to wear winter sale. All are fantastic and I love all my pieces so much. The fabrics are so unique and lovely, the fit is wonderful, and their customer service is incredible. Truly the best, I get such a thrill wearing my outfits and have such a good time trying out different ways to style them.

I am so in love with my EOC gathered skirt!! I fell in love with a fabric at first sight (a lovely small deco pattern – mostly silver on a white background, with just a hint of pink and black) that was both exactly perfect for me and totally not me – because my wardrobe is 90% black (no joke). And, although a gathered skirt is not the silhouette I’ve ever gone for in the past (too many years believing that I should be hiding my ample hips, not accentuating them), I knew I wanted to have a fun party skirt that I could wear for a NYE wedding – and for weddings/special events down the road. I have yo-yo’d in weight/size since I was 8 (I’m 44 now) and I have to say – having this custom-made skirt arrive at my home was absolutely life-changing. No worry about it not fitting, no need to suck in EVERYTHING to make sure I could zip it, no wondering how long I could wear in in that uncomfortable “sucking-in + spanx” that had been the way I’d spent most of the more formal events of my life. I love this skirt so much and can’t wait to wear it again and again. The artistry in the creation of the skirt is immaculate and the care put into the item is evident. I can’t wait to have more clothes in the future that are just for me. And my cats Waffles and Mr. Darcy love the repost pack it came in, they take turns sitting on it, but it will eventually be sent back so that it can be used again! I’ve now bought four dresses and a top from Emperor’s Old Clothes and they’re all absolutely gorgeous! They’re incredibly well made and in really unique fabrics. The team are so kind, thoughtful and helpful as well. I cannot recommend enough!!!

I now have 3 EOC items and I love them all. I am a curvy, tall person and have always struggled to find clothes that fit well and dont make me look frumpy. My Emperor’s dungarees were a birthday gift and I get so much wear out of them. I also bought some wide leg denim trousers (sooooo flattering and go with everything) and a red cord circle skirt which I wore on Christmas day. Everything is customisable and the team are brilliant at doing adjustments if needed to make items fit perfectly.

Received my gorgeous design your own dungarees a few weeks ago and they’re so incredible! They fit me perfectly, which is so rare for me as a petite curvy lady. They look so smart, I’ve worn them loads over the festive period, super comfy and well made. LOVE that you can have the crotch reenforced too so they’ll last longer! …was discovering this brand! The first item I bought was a neon pink cord mini skirt to cheer me up and it always brings me such joy. After years of struggling to find clothes that fit properly and just having to make do, this has changed my life. The waist needed to be taken in but the no fuss customer service made that easy. Knowing I can get a style that fits and suits me in so many wonderful patterns and fabrics means my wardrobe is becoming a more interesting place of clothes I actually want to wear! I’ve just ordered my 5th and 6th items so soon I’ll be able to wear Emperor’s outfits nearly every day of the week.
