HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR FABRIC + PLACE YOUR ORDER:
1. Choose your fabric by heading to our instagram fabric gallery
Each fabric has a reference number & details of which of our designs + sizes it is suitable for. Comment on the instagram post or email us via info@theemperorsoldclothes.co.uk to reserve it – we generally only have enough of each fabric for 1-2 garments so this step is really important!
2. Place your order here – double-check you have the correct garment style.
Your fabric reservation lasts for 72 hours so please place your order during this time otherwise the fabric will become available to other customers.
Important: make sure to write your size + fabric reference number in the order notes when you are entering your payment details.
3. Sit back, make a cup of tea + get excited about your one of a kind garment!

Handmade from scratch with high quality fabrics, our wide leg trousers have a side popper and side zip fastening.
WAYS TO WEAR:
For all year round wear style the trousers with a tee, and trainers for a casual everyday look.
Pair with a black high neck top or white tee + ankle boots for a casual winters day look. When the temperature drops even more add ankle boots, high socks & some knits to keep warm!

My favourite pair of structured trousers in my wardrobe are my Emperor’s culottes. Made from a durable black needlecord, they’re like a more grown up pair of jeans. I struggle with fluctuating weight due to my illness, and I have a stoma bag so placement of waistbands is sometimes off for me. But that’s the great thing about Emperor’s and their inclusivity and accessibility – having the option to have an elastic back was great. I also chose to have classic pockets – they are HUGE (in the best way)! I had some fit issues, which is a combination of having a short torso, and short, thin legs but no problem. I arranged an alterations call with the wonderful Louisa and we discussed taking some off of the rise of the crotch, and narrowing the leg so the fabric didn’t swamp my petite figure.
